Module 6: Graphic Design Using Canva (2 Days)
Canva is an online graphic design platform that allows you to create various social media posts, infographics, presentations, events, ads, etc. It’s an intuitive platform, and in less than 10 minutes, you will be a pro at dragging and dropping images and texts and well on your way to creating your next exciting visual presentation!
You can select one of many templates and also upload your own images. The best part is the ability to either download your design as a pdf or publish and share it on Facebook and Twitter. Essentially, it’s a free app, but they do have a collection of stock images that you can choose to purchase for only a $1 each to use in your graphic designs. Because you are using this in an educational setting, you will not be purchasing anything.
If it’s your first time, there’s an interactive step-by-step guide that will help you to create a digital canvas. Once you’ve completed the tutorial, the world is yours to design! Click on the link below and go through the "Getting Started" tutorial. This link can also be helpful after you begin, if you're looking for some tips and tricks. Click on the button below to begin your tutorial.
